Stuff happens. Below is a printable version of the IP repair instructions. I’m here to help too. Don’t hesitate to call me. 720.480.5382.
You know your having connectivity issues if you get a TcpIP and/or connection failure notice when you run a transaction on your VX terminal. If you notice a message stating “dialing” (takes a long time too) try these repair instructions below.
Other repair options if “Repair” does not work and your still getting connection error message after trying the instructions below, you might consider trying this solution. Plug and Play networking devices sometimes get stuck. If you don’t have time to totally reboot your modem/router, you can try locating your your Device IP cable and plugging into another port on the modem/router.
NOTE: on the machine itself, there is only ONE port for Ethernet cable to be plugged into. It’s marked “ETH” and is the lateral port, front-middle of the machine (when the terminal is flipped over).
Any time the machine is turned off or another port on the modem/router is selected these repair steps need followed. Unplugging the power from the terminal does much the same thing, but takes much longer to boot up after power cycling.
If you are experiencing ongoing issues with your internet it’s worth contacting your internet provider and asking for a “drop-out/time-out” report.
